In Detroit: 3-Year-Old Girl Called A Hoe & Then Shot!
"He directly pointed the gun at the vehicle and shot it up", says Latina Edwards whose 3-year-old daughter was hit when a neighbor opened fire on them with a shotgun. Edwards says it all began when the man, in his 20s, began calling her daughter, Amyria Parham, and another young girl offensive names. "I told him don't talk to my daughter no more because he was calling her and her friend 'hos'. My daughter is 3 years old. She don't know what a ho is", said Edwards outside Children's Hospital in Detroit where her daughter is recovering. When tensions escalated, Edwards says she tried to get away by jumping into a friend's van in hopes of driving away, but by then she says the man had retrieved a shotgun from one of his friends and he opened fire on the van. "I'm her only protection", said Edwards. "I tried to get away but he shot up the vehicle that we was in and that's how she got shot". Cook County Jail Guard Charged With Punching Inmate, Knocking Him Down. 40-year-old Rico Palomino, a 12 year veteran corrections officer at the Cook County Jail in Illinois, claimed in his incident report an inmate "turned around abruptly" and grabbed his shirt, for which he had no choice but to act in self defense by striking the inmate with his open palm to "create a safe distance between himself and the detainee," reports NBC Chicago. The trouble is, the incident was caught on tape, and rather than show the officer was responding to being grabbed suddenly, it shows the cop casually walking up to an inmate and suddenly sucker punching him viciously in the face leaving him bleeding profusely from the mouth.

Caught On Cell Phone: NYPD Shoots Man Down With Knife Near Times Square!
"NYPD officers shot and killed a man with a large knife who they were chasing near Times Square Saturday afternoon. Police said the man, who they observed smoking marijuana, became belligerent when officers approached him. He was shot dead after he threatened officers with the knife, police said. The man had no identifcation on him, officials said. No officers were injured in the incident, which took place over a number of blocks and ended with the shooting at 38th Street and 7th Avenue, an area generally crowded with pedestrians. Witnesses to the shooting described a chaotic scene in Midtown." - NBC 4 News
